From beginner to championship level, solo dancing to ceili (team) dancing, the Lavin-Cassidy School of Irish Dancing has inspired appreciation for the art of Irish Dance for more than 20 years. Because our focus is quality, not quantity, our class sizes allow for focused, individualized instruction by our staff of seven instructors, of which four are certified by Aun commission.
The Lavin-Cassidy studio, in Worth, Illinois, is a state-of-the-art facility that features floating dance floors like those used by professional dance companies. Additional classes are offered in Oak Forest.
Lavin-Cassidy holds numerous titles in both Midwest and National Championships, as well as placing in the top 10 at All-Ireland and World Championship competitions. Most recently, in 2010, our Girl’s Under 12 Ceili placed Second at the World Championships held in Glasgow, Scotland. Our teams placed 1st in all four categories entered in the 2011 Midwest Regional Oireachtas. In addition to competitive solo and team dancing, we offer our students the opportunity to participate in a variety of show performances throughout the Chicago area.
The Lavin-Cassidy Parents Club is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Lavin-Cassidy Feis to be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Information about the feis can be found on the Lavin-Cassidy Feis tab on the home page.
